Itinerary

Half-Day: Horseback Riding Cusco – Outdoor Activity

This exciting day starts picking you up from your hotel approximately at 8:00 a.m.

First, we will drive in our transport for approximately 30 minutes until we reach the ” X zone”, which is located only 10 minutes from Sacsayhuaman (3,700 m.a.s.l./12,139 ft). There is a horse ranch in the X zone, and it is the place where you quickly become acquainted with horses and muleteers.

Muleteers and the guide must teach you how to handle those horses. Once you have learned to ride, your adventure is ready to start! Afterward, we begin our exciting Horseback Riding Cusco around Sacsayhuaman. In the course of this exercise, you will enjoy the beautiful Andean landscapes that surround this environment as we follow our experienced guide until we reach Qenqo.

At this point, our transport will be waiting to take us to our next stop at the Red Fortress “Puka Pukara” (3,680 m.a.s.l./12,073 ft), where we will have a guided tour and then head to Tambomachay. Tambomachay has special significance as it was used for water ceremonies, and our guide will give us detailed information about its history and purpose.
