There is less rainfall, and the weather conditions are more favorable for trekking. HOW MANY KILOS IS RECOMMENDED TO CARRY IN THE DAY BACKPACK?

You can include items, such as sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, wet wipes, a hat, a cap, and snacks; ideally, the weight should not exceed 2 kilos.

WHERE WILL I SLEEP ON THE SALKANTAY TREK?

During the Salkantay Trek, there will be 3 days of camping areas, and on the 4th night, a hotel in Aguas Calientes.

CAN I DO THE SALKANTAY TREK WITH CHILDREN?

Yes, but it is recommended that children also have good physical condition, and adults must be responsible for them. Keep in mind that the Salkantay trek is a very demanding hike, and it is essential that children also have experience of long walks.

ARE THERE TOILETS ALONG THE TREKKING ROUTE?

Yes, you can find toilets at each campsite; however, remember that they are basic, so I recommend that you bring your own toiletries.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK THE SALKANTAY TREK?

We recommend booking the Salkantay trek at least 3 months in advance.

HOW MUCH EXTRA MONEY SHOULD I HAVE FOR THE TREK?
