Itinerary

Cusco – Pisac – Three Kinsa Cocha Lakes – Cusco

We will begin very early with hotel pickup in Cusco, then travel by vehicle toward the Sacred Valley, heading to the charming town of Pisac (2,974 m / 9,757 ft), located approximately one hour from the city. Near Pisac, we will prepare to begin the hike. The starting point is on the outskirts of town, where we’ll begin a gradual ascent along rural trails and beautiful high Andean scenery.

After hiking for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will reach the first lake: Kimsacocha (3,880 m / 12,730 ft), surrounded by wetlands and small natural springs. We will then continue toward the second lake, Azul Qocha (4,050 m / 13,287 ft), named for the deep blue color of its waters. Finally, we will arrive at Puma Qocha (4,200 m / 13,780 ft), the highest of the circuit, offering wide views of the Andean páramo and, weather permitting, beautiful snow-capped peaks.

The full route covers approximately 10 km (round trip), with an estimated hiking time of 4 to 5 hours at a moderate pace. Throughout the trek, we will make scheduled stops for rest, hydration, nature interpretation, and photography.

At the end of the circuit, we will descend back toward Pisac to enjoy a comforting lunch. Afterward, we will board our private transportation back to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon.
