We begin our tour of the Inca Trail Hike to Machu Picchu, picking you up from your hotel in Cusco and heading to Ollantaytambo, where you will have 40 minutes to have breakfast and do your last shopping.

We will then continue our journey to Piscacucho (Km 82), where the trek begins. Once you are at the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu checkpoint, you will have to present your passport before starting the awaited trek.

This first day is a gradual warm-up hike, with panoramic views of Huillca Raccay´s Inca fortress, Patallacta´s archeology site, the Urubamba´s mountain range, the Andes Cordillera and the majestic Nevado Veronica (5,860 m /19,225 ft).

After lunch in Hatunchaca, we will continue to the Wayllabamba´s campsite (3,000 m/9,842 ft). Here, tea and snacks will be waiting for you, and then you will rest in the tents already prepared for your overnight stay.

NOTE: In case you are staying in Urubamba or Ollantaytambo at the beginning of the tour, the pick-up will be at 6:00 a.m. and if you are at Km 82, the pick-up will be coordinated 24 hours before.

After 2 hours more of trekking, we will arrive at Llulluchapampa´s campsite. Here, we will stop to rest and enjoy snacks with hot drinks. From this point, we will be starting the last ascent to the Warmiwañusca, located at 4,215 m/13,929 ft.

We will wake up early to complete the last stage of the Inca Trail Hike to Machu Picchu. We will head towards the Inti Punku or Sun Gate, the main entrance to Machu Picchu. This trail is easy to walk and takes approximately 1 hour. From this place, we can watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu´s citadel.

We will then descend for 45 minutes to an elevated view of Machu Picchu, entering through the main entrance for registration before the 02-hour guided tour. On this tour, we will learn about Machu Picchu´s history.

In the afternoon, we will meet in Aguas Calientes for lunch and receive the train tickets back to Cusco. Our service includes the tourist bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, and transportation to Cusco in our private bus.
