Itinerary

The tour begins by picking you up from your hotel or Airbnb, approximately at 9:00 a.m., according to our pickup points included (the time of your pickup will be confirmed 1 day in advance according to your location).

We will travel in our private transportation towards the south of Lima for approximately 45 minutes until reaching Pachacamac.

We will start by visiting the Pachacamac Site Museum, where over 290 registered pieces are exhibited, made of various materials such as ceramics, textiles, wooden and metal objects, spondylus shell valves, etc. One of the most emblematic pieces of the museum is the Pachacamac idol.

Continuing with our tour, we will move towards the Pachacamac Archaeological Sanctuary, an antiquity of over 3000 years, it was considered a highly sacred place by various pre-Inca cultures, as Pachacamac was an oracle god; the most important one on the coast of ancient Peru. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the Pachacamac Sanctuary was part of the Inca road network called “Qhapac Ñan.

We will also visit the Acllawasi, known as the Temple of the Moon, which was a sacred hidden enclosure where women selected for their skills or physical beauty lived and worked. Additionally, the Acllawasi of Pachacamac was one of the largest and most important along the coast. Continuing with our tour, we will explore the different structures of cultures, such as Lima, Wari, and Inca.

Finally, we will visit the Temple of the Sun or Punchao Kancha, the jewel of Pachacamac, considered the largest coastal temple. It is split into five pyramidal structures with stone bases and the rest made of adobe.

Finally, we will board our private transportation back to your respective hotels.

The Museum provides maps and guides in Braille for the tour of the permanent exhibition room, available at the entrance.

They offer free wheelchairs, available upon request at the ticket office with ID. Wheelchairs cannot enter the archaeological zone.

For seniors and people with disabilities who wish to visit the archaeological sanctuary, free electric cars are provided upon prior coordination, allowing them to enjoy the archaeological circuit.
