NAZCA LINES TOUR FROM LIMA

Our Nazca Tour from Lima begins at around 4 AM by picking you up from your hotel. So, your hotel or accommodation must be in the Historic Center of Lima, San Isidro, Miraflores, or Barranco; otherwise, we will coordinate a meeting time and place, and also an extra cost will be charged.

Subsequently, we will embark on a 5-hour journey to the María Reiche Airport in the Nazca desert, where we will check in and schedule our flight. At approximately 10 AM, we will take small planes or light aircraft, each with a window seat. Above the sky, we will see the incredible Nazca Lines, which include shapes of animals, plants, and geometric forms. We will have approximately 40 minutes to observe and take photos of the huge representations of animals such as the Andean condor, hummingbird, pelican, spider, whales, etc.

The Nazca Lines were made by the Nazca culture over 2,000 years ago. Their meaning remains a mystery, but it is believed they may use the geoglyphs for ceremonial or religious purposes.

During the flight, you will be guided by our professional leaders. After the flight, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Next, we will visit the Chauchilla Cemetery, a unique place that allows us to learn about the Nazca culture from a different perspective. This cemetery is a large burial area of 1 km by 0.5 km, where mummies of the ancient inhabitants of the region were buried. This cemetery had been looted for years by treasure hunters, resulting in an area full of abandoned and scattered bones. Currently, the Chauchilla Cemetery is protected by the Peruvian state.

To conclude the tour, we will return to Lima, arriving between 9 PM and 10 PM.
